About Our Team
Richard Myers, III received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee in 1976. Dr. Myers established Western Heights Dental in 1982. Dr. Myers also served in the U.S. Marine Corp. as a First Lieutenant and is also a Decorated Vietnam Veteran. Dr. Myers is married with four children, Dr. Wallin Myers (Endodontist), Dr. Beau Myers (Orthodontist), Dr. Nicki Myers Brock (General Dentist), and Dannie Myers currently attending college. Ingelein, his wife, has three children; Katie Babcock who resides in Franklin, TN, Shelby Thompson currently attending college, and Todd Walker attending school in Knoxville.
Dr. Myers has privileges at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital where he completes approximately 12 dental surgeries a week. He is also a member of the 2nd District Dental Society as well in Knoxville, and as a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Myers is an avid hunter and fisherman when he is not working in dentistry. He is a loving Father and his family is extremely important to him.
George Joshua Steedley received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000. Dr. Steedley is married to Michelle, who is a pediatric occupational therapist. He has three beautiful children.
In his free time, Dr. Steedley likes to spend time with his family, play golf, fish, and snow ski.
Sherrie Williams, RDA
Office Administrator
Sherrie attended the University of Tennessee where she studied accounting. She graduated from Dental Assisting School in 1990. Sherrie began working in General Dentistry while also attending dental boot camps, study clubs with current employers, practice management courses, and software workshops which motivated her toward the practice management side of dentistry. During this time she also worked for Softdent as a Software Trainer and Consultant for East Tennessee for approximately 12 years.
Sherrie has volunteered with Remote Area Medical for 28 years and feels there is no better way to give back to the community than to do something you are sincerely passionate about. Sherrie is family-focused and enjoys spending time with her two sons and her beautiful granddaughter. She loves to cook, travel to new places, and experience new cuisines.
Sara Carol Barton, CDA, RDA
Restorative Team
Carol moved to Tennessee in 1983 and has been in dentistry since 1973. She volunteered at the base Dental Clinic in Athens Greece for 1 ½ years, then came back to the US and had a daughter Carrie. She has worked with many excellent dentists in her dental career and is very grateful for the instruction and knowledge that they have imparted to her.
Diane Strader, RDA, Expanded Function Certificate
Restorative Team
Diane graduated from Dental Assisting School in 2001. She began working for an orthodontist before working in general dentistry. She feels very blessed to be a part of Western Heights Dental because she loves helping others. Diane has her Expanded Functions certification. She is a huge football fanatic and loves Tennessee football.
Cindy
Hygiene Team-Registered Dental Assistant
Cindy graduated from Dental Assisting School in 1983 and worked in Sevierville for approximately 20 years. Worked as a temp after the birth of her third child, Cindy worked in several offices including an oral surgeon’s office for more experience. She and her husband Amos have four children; Tabitha, Caleb, and Courtney. She has one grandson, Jaylen. She has fish, two beagles, and two cats. Cindy loves to swim with her grandson and growing flowers.
Restorative Team
Tracy graduated from Tennessee Technology Center Denatl Assisting program in 1991. She worked in another general dentist office for ten years before coming to Western Heights Dental in 2001. Tracy has two children, a 20 yr old son and a 13 year old daughter. She enjoys the outdoors with family and friends.
Angela La Shier
Front Office Team
Angela has been in the Dental Profession since 1994. She worked seven years with an orthodontic office and nine years in general dentistry. She and her husband move to Tennessee from Kentucky in 1999. They have one daughter, one grandson, and one cat named Katy. God has truly blessed us with wonderful friends and family.
Jennifer Letner
Front Office Team
Jennifer began working in the Dental Profession in 2008. She states that it has been a great experience for her as a front office team member. For those who do not know her, she is an identical twin, and she says it was pretty fun growing up with someone who looks just like her. She and her identical twin are best friends. Jennifer is married with two daughters.
Leshia
Restorative Team- RDA
Leshia has been a dental assistant since 1983 and she loves working at Western Heights Dental and especially working with children.
Shelley Myers, CDA
Surgery Coordinator & Surgery Team
Shelley graduated from Tennessee Technology Center in 1991. She then started working in a pediatric office for the next six years. She began working for Western Heights Dental in 1998. She and her husband Mike, have four children. They also have a granddaughter. Shelley enjoys reading, thrift shopping, and camping.
Jeanne
Restorative Team -CDA, Expanded Function Certificate
Jeanne has worked in dentistry since 1980 and still feels like she learns something new every day. She tells everyone that she is so blessed to be a part of the Western Heights Dental Team. She is married to Bobby and they have two daughters. Jeanne enjoys life with family and friends and her special G.I.F.T.S Bible Study Group. She loves to shop, read, swim, and eating out.
Donna
Front Office Team
Donna has worked in dentistry since 1986 and in 1998 she began working at Western Heights Dental. She loves her job and team, but most of all she appreciates this practice for making a difference in the lives of our patients. Donna has two adult daughters and four grandchildren, a dog named Max. Her hobbies include sewing, camping, and enjoying her grandchildren.
Kathy Stokes
Administrative Team
Kathy has been employed by Western Heights Dental since May 2009 as Accounts Payable Manager. Kathy feels blessed to work in such a great environment with a wonderful, caring group of people.
Kathy and her husband Dale have been married for 39+ years and have two grown children and six grandchildren. They attend Black Oak Heights Baptist Church where Dale is on staff as a music minister and Kathy sings in the choir. Her hobbies include playing piano, flower gardening, and, most importantly of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Samantha
Restorative Team- RDA, Expanded Function Certificate
Samantha started in dentistry because she was influenced by her mother also being a dental assistant at Western Heights Dental. She began her assisting career in 2004 and loves being able to help people have a beautiful smile, especially the children we see in our office.
Samantha has a son, and in her free time, she loves to shoot pool.
